MeadowBrook Construction helped build the new learning kitchen at the Eden Community Food Bank, which will be used to mass prepare meals and feed the hungry, and also to teach people less fortunate how to cook and prepare fresh foods.

The new learning kitchen will have a positive and lasting impact on the community. For the approximately 500 families who rely on the Eden Community Food Bank (ECFB) every month, it means a fresh, nourishing meal. To others it is an opportunity to learn how to cook, find employment and get out of poverty.

Committed to the project, MeadowBrook provided services at cost and management donated their time to ensure that the kitchen was completed on schedule and within the ECFB’s limited budget. Vendors and subcontractors also discounted their material and labour and provided free services whenever possible.
