Returning to Work Safely

Returning to Work Safely

Remove Harmful Viruses & Bacteria in The Workspace By Up to 98%.

Over the last 10 weeks, our team has received numerous inquiries concerning the possible mitigation of COVID-19 within the work place. ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) have developed a list of recommendations surrounding COVID-19 mitigation through improvements and modifications to mechanical system.

The aforementioned published list includes the utilization of Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation lights installed at a high level within various rooms, with the option of circulating fans to create an airflow through the lights. The effective distance of ultra-violet lights is approximately eight (8) feet, which would therefore require a multitude of UV lights to be placed within each work space. The utilization of UV lights within the air handlers, or ductwork are designed to eliminate airborne viruses and bacteria, however COVID-19, H1N1 and various other common viruses have no evidence of airborne transmission through HVAC systems.

Our research brought us to a biocidal system which releases ionized hydro-peroxides into the existing HVAC system and distributed throughout the work space. This product has been lab tested to deactivate H1N1, MRSA, salmonella, mold, picornavirus, among others. It also serves to de-odorize, and assist the removal of dust particles and allergens. Typically installed in residential homes, group homes, nursing homes, hospitals, vet clinics, good processing plants, etc, with approvals by the USDA, FSIS, and FDA. Installation within nursing homes has yielded favorable results with clients attributing the mitigation of COVID-19 to this system.

REME HALO: Returning to work safely, comfortably, and confidently.

We are in the midst of a very unique time. An unsettling time for many. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of people around the world – tragically, costing families their loved-ones’ lives and causing others to fall seriously ill. Economies have ground to a halt in an attempt to mitigate the virus’ spread. Now, thanks to the collective efforts of stay-at-home orders and social-distancing protocols, there’s reason for optimism.

Easing the transition.

As government’s reveal a phased approach to restart the economy, a gradual return to the workplace is on the horizon for employees. Many people will welcome this as a return to normalcy. But, understandably, this can come with significant stress and anxiety. Concerns about personal health and passing COVID-19 to family members – particularly older parents, grand-parents, or those with heightened risk factors – will certainly leave many with trepidation. The root of this stress will be the virus’ ease of spreading through airborne moisture in shared, indoor spaces.

REME HALO removes airborne viruses & microbes.

The solution to ease these concerns can be found in the REME HALO system. Through the power of UV light, air is purified as it passes through the building’s HVAC system. In essence, this is a recreation of how our natural environment removes impurities from the outside air. Ionized hydro-peroxides are returned to the interior workspace – attacking microbes like bacteria, viruses, and mould spores. This solution would also remove VOCs, chemicals that hinder the air-quality in many buildings, as well as odours and other contaminants. The obvious benefit here is a cleaner, healthier, work environment. But the bigger benefit is ensuring each staff member feels confident and comfortable.

Addressing stress and fear.

Since very early in the COVID-19 shutdown, people have been made aware of the virus’ transmission through moisture droplets in the air. Digital models have shown us how, in confined spaces, airborne moisture can linger; creating the opportunity to be easily contracted by others. This has been followed with recommendations to wear mask when entering indoor, shared spaces like grocery stores; with some retailers mandating it. For employers, a key part of a return-to-work plan will be implementing health-and-safety protocols that will minimize the possibilities of transmission. But, as importantly, it will be to educate their staff of these implementations – helping them understand that the work environment is a safe environment.

Happy and healthy leads to motivated and productive.

The sound, proven science behind the REME HALO is an effective and very economical way to achieve the needs of return-to-work protocols as well as gaining the trust of returning employees. Ensuring staff members are healthy, confident, and comfortable is crucial to having a motivated and productive workforce.

How MeadowBrook supports your business

Our installation team mounts this product directly on your ductwork distribution, and interconnects it to your existing air handling unit, ensuring longevity by limiting its use to occupiable hours. No maintenance is required on the system, with bulb replacement, on average every 60 months (or 25,000 hours). Our engineering team is able to review your existing system and provide a customized plan for equipment installation suited for your particular budgetary and facility requirements.

How effective is it?

  • Reduce Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) by 80%
  • Reduce Bacteria & Virus by 98%
  • Reduces absentee rates by 15%
  • LAb-tested to deactivate H1N1, Salmonella, MRSA, etc.
  • Approved by USDA, FSIS, & FDA.
  • The only approved product to decontaminate a sneeze by 98% before it travels 3 feet.

Research Information

An October 2009 study from the University of Kansas evaluating the use of photohydroionization for the inactivation of Influenza (H1N1), showed a 50% reduction in bacteria within two (2) hours (when compared to the control group). An 80% reduction was noted at four (4) hours, followed by a concentration below the detectible limit beyond six (6) hours.
